I think Val did a great job of winding these all together in a beautiful love story full of lovable, realistic people。 She has a way of describing the settings to make me feel like I am sitting with them watching what is going on rather than reading about it! Any fan of love stories full of twists & turns and characters you will fall in love with will truly love this story!I received an advanced copy of this book from the author but this review is my voluntary and honest opinion。BECAUSE WE CARED by JULIETTE DUNCANI enjoyed this story of Sasha leaving her big city to work on a job in a small town。 Her hesitance with how the town will accept her is on point with many small towns。 I could relate to the mixed feelings, some wanting to keep their town the way it is and others wishing for the development that will allow more to entertain the younger folks。 But the extreme clashes on both sides of the argument leave Sasha stuck in the middle。 The woman who owns the place she is renting while on the job is so true of a small town lady。 It doesn’t hurt that she has a handsome son who is a widowed father of the cutest little boy! I really liked the unexpected twists and turns thrown at Sasha and the way she handled them with God’s grace and dignity! A great story!I received an advanced copy of this book from the author but this review is my voluntary and honest opinion。SOMEDAY SOON by MELISSA TAGGBoth main characters Paige and Noah are so easy to fall in love with and it was a treat to read about their adventures together。 I like that they both acted the way many of us do when we have an idea of how we perceive others and the way we tend to guide ourselves and our futures by those assumptions。 In this book we are reminded that often others close to us may have assumptions of their own。 This also held an important reminder that God never leaves our side or pushes His way into things we do but that all we need to do is remember to look to Him and ask for His hand and help to guide us to do what He wants。 I need to go back and do some reading about these characters as they were introduced in previous books!I received an advanced copy of this book from the author but this review is my voluntary and honest opinion。ONE LOVE by T。K。 CHAPINThis story was a very enjoyable story about a Mom coming back to her hometown in hopes of both helping her son break from a crowd that she recognizes is taking him in the wrong road and to heal and move forward from her divorce。 I like the way this book shows real situations and how God can work in such big ways when He is invited in and allowed to work。 We are all sinners but this book shows some of the awesome ways we can let God work through us to benefit both ourselves and others as well。 I really liked the relationship that Elise and her son Zander have in this book。 While it is implied that she reacted differently before this story I like the way the author concentrated on the changes and positives in this book。 It worked to bring a very interesting, real and positive book that was packed with Biblical truths intertwined into a beautiful story!I received an advanced copy of this book from the author but this review is my voluntary and honest opinion。THE LIFEGUARD, THE RUNAWAY BRIDE AND FROZEN CUSTARD by CAROL MONCADOThis was the first book I have read by this author。 It was a second chance romance and romance with the sister and brother’s best friend rolled into one unique story。 Madi leaves her groom-to-be right before their service knowing something didn’t feel right and ended up at the B & B of Hoppy, her brother’s best friend。 There were parts of this story that followed the basic premise I have read before but this had several twists that I found unique。 I liked to read how the storyline progressed and enjoyed the characters of Madi and Hoppy as well as the secondary people throughout。 Knowing there were stories that came before in this Serenity Landing Lifeguard series I would really like to read those as well。I received an advanced copy of this book from the author but this review is my voluntary and honest opinion。 。。。more

This collection is truly wonderful! It is packed with stories, both novels and novellas。 I am reviewing nine books from this set and look forward to reading the others, as well。A Thousand Words by Mandi BlakeThis was such an enjoyable story of opposites who end up being just right for each other。 I loved that Sissy had had a crush on her older brother’s friend for years and finally had a shot at a romance with him。 This book tackles some deep issues that Sissy’s brother, Dakota, is going through This collection is truly wonderful! Lydia may have been a famous singer, but she had a lot of hurt in her life, and so did Liam。 I felt that these two characters were so good for each other, making it possible for their hearts to heal。 It was fun to see them grow to care for each other。 I enjoyed this story so much!Ruby Radiance by Valerie ComerThis was a fun story。 Trinity sure had been through a lot, from her eyesight degenerating, to they rude way her father treated her for most of the book, to the fact that her fiancé abandoned her when things got tough。 But she had a good attitude and it was nice to see her get a chance with Dale。 He needed a second chance, too, and he was given a beautiful one with his romance with Trinity, who also was one of the people who helped draw him toward a relationship with God。Someday Soon by Melissa TaggSomeday Soon was a wonderful story with two very likable characters。 Page and Noah had great chemistry and it was so fun to watch their romance grow from fake to real。 They both had some things to work through from their pasts in order to move into a healthy future where neither of them carried burdensome guilt。 This was such a fun story!Love’s Violet Sunrise by Naomi RawlingsThis is a novella that I had read before。 Hiram and Mabel were such a great couple with amazing chemistry。 They have quite the battle to overcome in this novella, which made for a very interesting story。 I couldn’t help but love these two characters! The Lifeguard, The Runaway Bride, & Frozen Custard by Carol MoncadoI loved this romance! Even though it is the third and final in the series, I hadn’t read the first two and had no trouble enjoying this one。 It is kind of a combo of second chance and the friends to lovers tropes。 The main characters really didn’t date as teens, yet they both cared for each other and seeing them actually get a chance at a happily ever after was fun。 Lots of interesting things to find out in this novel and I enjoyed reading as bits and pieces were revealed as the relationship grew。Love’s Sacrifice by Evangeline KellyWhat an emotional novella! After a rough start, Dean and Avery ended up falling for each other very quickly。 I loved seeing the way they related to each other on their date and then the excitement of a spur of the moment elopement。 However, things did fall apart and it was very sweet to see how things ended up eventually working out。 I would have loved to have seen an epilogue to this story!More Than This by Marion UeckermannThis novel touched my heart! I couldn’t help but swoon a bit as this husband and wife worked to grow closer together after years of accidentally growing apart。 They never stopped loving each other, but found themselves needing to start over in regards to showing each other how much they cared。 I really enjoyed this sweet story。Love Renewed by Lorana HoopesThis was a wonderful second chance at love story! I loved the way Dillon and Kaitlyn reconnected and how their hearts seemed to know that they had never stopped caring for each other。 It was fun that it was set at Christmas time。 I liked seeing the way Dillon related to both Kaitlyn and Jack。 I loved these two main characters! You can read this review on my blog:https://brittreadsfiction。wordpress。c。。。 。。。more

I have only read one of these as of now。 Melissa Tagg is one of a very few authors who can make a novella seem like a full length book, and that’s a rarity。 I bought this collection for one reason: Tagg had a story in it。 I have been a huge fan of hers since her very first book。 She does write with incredible depth, managing to craft imaginary characters and turn them into seemingly real, breathing people。 I know without doubt that when I read a novel by Melissa Tagg that I am going to be moved I have only read one of these as of now。 Melissa Tagg is one of a very few authors who can make a novella seem like a full length book, and that’s a rarity。 I bought this collection for one reason: Tagg had a story in it。 I have been a huge fan of hers since her very first book。 She does write with incredible depth, managing to craft imaginary characters and turn them into seemingly real, breathing people。 I know without doubt that when I read a novel by Melissa Tagg that I am going to be moved and heart touched。 There was a great spiritual lesson here also, one I will tote around with me a while。 。。。more

Some of the authors in this box set I had never heard of before, but since reading their writing I can't get enough。 I want to read everything。 Each author writes clean, christian romance, but still managed to have completely different storylines。 I enjoyed some more than others, but I still learned something from each book。 There were many lessons on love, forgiveness, not being afraid to live the life God gave you。 I have been inspired by this collection and plan to make some changes in my lif Some of the authors in this box set I had never heard of before, but since reading their writing I can't get enough。 I want to read everything。 Each author writes clean, christian romance, but still managed to have completely different storylines。 I enjoyed some more than others, but I still learned something from each book。 There were many lessons on love, forgiveness, not being afraid to live the life God gave you。 I have been inspired by this collection and plan to make some changes in my life。Because We Cared by Juliette DuncanRespect。 That was a main theme throughout this book。 The way the characters had such respect for each other was inspiring。 The conservation aspects showed great respect for the earth and reminded me that we are stewards of the earth。 Even the way the characters handled the past, everything they had been through, was done in a respectful and humble way。 I believe this amount of respect came from love。 This book has left me thinking and pondering all the main lessons in its short amount of pages。 I definitely think this one will speak to people and impact them in some way。I felt so strongly that I had to pause while reading the book。 I was consumed with the admiration I had for these characters and had to give myself time to really absorb the deep love, care, and respect that permeated this book。Nothing More by Autumn MacarthurTiming belongs to God。 We may not know when exactly things will happen, chances are they won't when we think they should, but there is a reason they happen the way they do。 This book demonstrated that in the way it took 30 years and a harsh diagnosis before things in life started falling into place。 There were a lot of regrets, choices had been made that left a lot of the characters unhappy。 They wished they could go back and change things, but the past was past, they had to forgive and move on in order to enjoy the time they had left。 We don't know what will happen in the future, these characters surely didn't, but they were determined to live fully now。 To make amends now。 To love now。 Life doesn't stop, it is made up of single seconds, moments, that can change your whole future。 Those moments are where your life happens。 This book showed these moments, some sad, some happy, others that were hilarious, and still more that were tender and sweet。 The way they had been living wasn't what either one wanted, but they kept going, doing what they thought they should, but never stopping long enough to work through what happened and to find a way to move past all the pain and hurt。 They were given a chance to change that, but they were still afraid that they would get hurt。 That what happened in the past was too big to move past and discover the marriage they both wanted。 Slowly they started opening up to each other and being there when the other one needed them。 They were forced to face the harsh reality that life is short and you can't let the moments pass you by because you just might miss something truly amazing。They almost let love slip through their fingers, but God had other plans。 He was the one who gave them their second chance。 Now, what's left of their lives they will spend together, making the most of each moment。More Than This by Marion UeckermannThis book touches on drifting apart and rediscovering the love a married couple once had。 Our couple met a lot of new people, people I hope will be in later books in this series。 Every person provided a lesson in true love。 Something that is so common, but often overlooked。 The sense of community and the way everyone rallied behind each other was inspiring。 It showed how in all relationships you need to have love and be careful not to let it fall to the wayside。A Royal Inheritance by Joy OhagwuThis was a fast read, it dropped you right into the tale and swept you along in this story about being with the one you love。 It was different from most books I read, but I liked that。 It ends on a cliffhanger, so I will definitely be checking out the other books in the series。One Love by T。K。 ChapinOne Love is about discovering your one true love - God。 I didn't know what to expect going into this story。 There wasn't as much drama in it as I have come to expect in most stories, this was an easy flow, something that showed us a slice of life。 I wish there had been more to the book, the ending felt a little sudden。 All in all, it was a great story, and I found out that I enjoy this author's writing style。Love Renewed by Lorana HoopesReunited high school sweethearts。 A second chance at love。 A mystery around the lodge caretaker? What isn't there to like?Love Renewed was basically a Hallmark Christmas movie。 Was it predictable? Yes。 Was it a little cheesy in parts? Yes。 Did I love every minute of it? Yes。 Do I recommend it? Yes。There really are no other words to describe it。 It had all the cute, sweet, heartwarming little moments a Hallmark movie has。So You Love To Hate Your Boss by Elizabeth MaddreyI love enemies to lovers, this book did it so well。 They didn't like each other because of some preconceptions, but when they were forced to work closely with each other, they found out that each other wasn't who they thought they were。 The road to happily ever after was filled with some missteps, there were a lot of issues they had to work through。 I especially liked the military aspect of the book and how it showed a soldier trying to fit back into society。I was entertained throughout the whole story。 I really wanted to see these two overcome their differences and work past all the negatives in each other to finally experience some joy in their relationships。Love's Sacrifice by Evangeline KellyWow。 This book was cute, but in an intense way。 I don't think I have read a book quite like this one before。 It was refreshing to have something different。 The story felt real, the emotional aspect was moving and touched me deeply。 This story is one I'm glad I didn't miss, it was just that good。Ruby Radiance by Valerie ComerI didn't know much about geocaching going into this book, so I found learning about it interesting。 I liked how the author paralleled their lives with the geocaching。 These characters had a lot they had to go through to figure out how they would work together。 They needed to learn to trust each other and love again。 The author has a way of building up backstory that makes the characters feel real。 I enjoyed getting to know them and I hope I see them in other books in the Pot of Gold Geocaching Romance series。Love's Violet Sunrise by Naomi RawlingsI absolutely loved this book, it was cute and had a little bit of mystery to it。 Since it was Historical Fiction it had older, more wholesome values which I find far more romantic than the more modern values。 It was a prequel, so now I am curious about the other books in the series。 If they are as enjoyable as this book, then I think I will enjoy the whole series。Heart's Home by Valerie M。 BoddenI rarely cry while reading。 When I do it is usually because something that happened relates to me in some way, there is always a reason behind it。 This book made me cry because it is such a beautiful story。The characters felt real, like friends, people I want to spend time with and get to know better。 I cared about all of them and am invested in their lives。The main characters had their own struggles, but they fought through and found a way to follow their dreams, even when those dreams changed。There is a lot of meaning behind this book。 It was amazing, so much so that I struggle to put into words my thoughts and feelings about it。 I will definitely be getting this author's other books。Someday Soon by Melissa TaggPaige is so feisty, I absolutely love it。 I couldn't help but smile at their banter throughout the book。 I loved the way they moved through grief and fear, they had to learn how to let go and accept the past so they could move forward in their lives。 Some moments brought tears to my eyes, others made me laugh out loud。 This book is one I didn't want to end。 I want to read some other books from this author and read more about these characters。I read it in only a couple of hours; I didn't feel like I could stop。 I loved every minute。A Thousand Words by Mandi BlakeThis book was so cute。 I was drawn in from the beginning, I just had to see how the story ended。 The most amazing part is that it is a prequel to an already existing series, which means I can go and read all of those books and get to stay with these characters for a little bit longer。 I can't wait to read them and see what happens with the characters I met in this prequel。I have read some other books by Mandi Blake and I believe they just keep getting better and better。 This one had an easy flow, and it kept me emotionally engaged。 I was grinning like a fool during the whole book because it was so adorable。The relationship between the main characters was great。 I love that they knew each other before being set up on a date。 They made a few mistakes with keeping things secret, but they learned how to be open with each other and other people。 There is a lot to love about this book。The Lifeguard, The Runaway Bride, & Frozen Custard by Carol MoncadoThis book was fun, fast-paced, maybe overly so。 It seemed to jump a lot with some quick scene transitions。 This is normal for shorter stories, but I find it a little jarring, making it hard to truly get into the book。 I liked the story concept though。I received ARCs of these books and have voluntarily left this honest review。 。。。more

I have read 8 of the 12 books。 Here's my reviews of the ones I've read:Because We Cared - Juliette Duncan - Nice read with an Australian setting。 Lots of dramatic plot twists, villians, good people, conservation issues。 Nothing More - Autumn Macarthur - Have your tissues handy when you read this! It’s a very emotional, yet hopeful book。 I appreciated her handling of broken relationships, dealing with mistakes of the past, and learning to trust the Lord for healing。 I really liked the book。 When I have read 8 of the 12 books。 Here's my reviews of the ones I've read:Because We Cared - Juliette Duncan - Nice read with an Australian setting。 Lots of dramatic plot twists, villians, good people, conservation issues。 Nothing More - Autumn Macarthur - Have your tissues handy when you read this! It’s a very emotional, yet hopeful book。 I appreciated her handling of broken relationships, dealing with mistakes of the past, and learning to trust the Lord for healing。 I really liked the book。 When I finished it, I discovered in a note at the end from the author that it’s connected to Books 1 and 7 of her Love in Store series。 So I went back and re-read them (it had been several years)。 You definitely will want to read Book 1, The Wedding List, before Nothing More, if at all possible。 The other one, Teapots and Tiaras, can be read either before or after Nothing More。More Than This -Marion Ueckermann - I really enjoyed that this book is about a couple in their 50s, trying to restore their love and intimacy lost in the busyness of life。 Ueckermann introduces a lot of younger characters too, whom I am sure are going to show up in future books in the new series, “Rustic Falls Romance,” of which this book is the first。 I’m really looking forward to reading those as well。So You Love to Hate Your Boss (Billionaire 2) -Elizabeth Maddrey - I don’t particularly like billionaire stories, but since Elizabeth Maddrey is one of my favorite authors, I decided I should try hers out。 This is the second one in the series (you really should read the first one first - “So You Want a Second Chance”)。 Again, how much money involved isn’t really the key to the story – it’s a good story even if you leave money out of it。 The two main characters have to learn how to get along and work together, which involves not jumping to conclusions by listening to office gossip instead of spending time with each other。 I kind of wish the story wasn’t so short – I would have liked reading more details on the process of their learning (and of course, falling in love)。 Ruby Radiance - Valerie Comer - This is the second in Valerie Comer’s new series about geocaching。 You’ll want to read the first one, Topaz Treasure, before this one to get the backstories on several of the characters that show up in this book。 I enjoyed learning more about geocaching, and I enjoyed another slightly different flavor of Comer book。 She’s got some good plot twists to keep you wondering what’s going to happen next, plus she’s got some good insights into trusting both God and people, forgiving oneself for decisions in the past, and making a leap of faith。 I like that all the characters need to mature in different ways, and they seem like “real people” that you’d meet in your own life。Love's Violet Sunrise - Naomi Rawlings - I enjoyed reading this short prequel novella。 It’s got lots of drama, good characters, fun romance。 Heart's Home - Valerie Bodden - I was first introduced to Valerie Bodden’s books through her book, Heart’s Healing, one of the bonus reads for purchasing the Love’s Treasure collection。 I really enjoyed it, so read all her other books。 I was very eager to read this one, and was not disappointed。 Some characters I’d met in earlier books showed up again, which I always enjoy。 The characters felt like “real people,” and I felt the plot moved at a good pace。 She has good insights on finding home, belonging, and dealing with past hurts。Someday Soon - Melissa Tagg - This is a fun, quick read that is classic Tagg。 If you can first read Some Bright Someday, it will fill you in on the backstories of many of the characters you’ll meet in this book, but if not, you’ll pick up most of what you really need to know in this book。 Tagg does a great job with the fake relationship trope, and has good plot twists that keep you guessing on what’s going to finally work out。 I always enjoy a new book by Melissa Tagg!A Thousand Words - Mandi Blake - I really enjoyed this story。 Despite heavy topics of addiction, who is in control/trust issues, keeping secrets, etc。, there are lots of hilarious moments between Tyler and Sissie that had me cracking up。 I’m going to read more of her books! The Lifeguard, the Runaway Bride and Frozen Custard -Carol Moncado - This is the third (and final) book in Moncado’s Lifeguard series。 You do not have to read the first two before this one, but you’ll get the back stories of quite a few of the characters mentioned in this book if you do read them。 This has classic Moncado plot twists, troubled pasts to be dealt with, and lots of swoony romance。 It was a perfect escape after a busy day! 。。。more

Love’s Treasure is a wonderful collection of stories that touched me! I read 11 out of the 14 so I could save the rest for later!Heart’s Home: Lydia’s struggles through deaths, being let down and now feeling all alone and Liam’s struggles with a death and raising a family makes for a very heartwarming story as they try to find their path to happiness! This inspirational story of God’s love and grace in their lives really touched me, as do all of Valerie’s books。Love’s Sacrifice: Avery and Dean’s Love’s Treasure is a wonderful collection of stories that touched me! This inspirational story of God’s love and grace in their lives really touched me, as do all of Valerie’s books。Love’s Sacrifice: Avery and Dean’s meeting and how they react and connect with each other in the restaurant they work in felt very real! The way Evangeline portrays Christ’s love and sacrifice on the cross through their story is beautifully written!Love’s Violet Sunrise: When Hiram Cummings fought for what was right years ago, little did he know that he would have to take a stand again! This time on behalf of a very determined woman。 The story is so worth reading!A Thousand Words: A thousand words is such an apt title for the story of Sissy and Tyler! She can express herself openly whereas Tyler needs prompting to use even a single word to describe his thoughts and feelings。 Just as Christ has to prompt us sometimes to express our love for others through Him。Ruby Radiance: Trinity’s determination to overcome her disability with a cheerful spirit and attempt what would be difficult under normal circumstances was amazing! Dale’s an introvert when it comes to his social life! Their rocky path together was a wonderful theme of perseverance and forgiveness that touched me。More Than This: The setting for this book is beautiful and makes you want to visit Rustic Falls。 The struggles that Hanna and Levi face in their lives shows how important it is to seek God’s guidance in your marriage! This is a great collection of Christian stories。  I have not read all of the books in this anthology but I have really enjoyed the ones I have read and the selection of authors。A Thousand Words by Mandi BlakeI liked the title because Tyler was really good with one word answers。  I also liked the other characters in this story。  Tyler and Sissy were opposites in so many ways but they brought out the best in each other。  I liked how Sissy's brother, Dakota, had a really strong support system even This is a great collection of Christian stories。  I have not read all of the books in this anthology but I have really enjoyed the ones I have read and the selection of authors。A Thousand Words by Mandi BlakeI liked the title because Tyler was really good with one word answers。  I also liked the other characters in this story。  Tyler and Sissy were opposites in so many ways but they brought out the best in each other。  I liked how Sissy's brother, Dakota, had a really strong support system even if they were not able to help him since he was unwilling to seek help。  I liked that both of the main characters had their faith and Sissy, especially, relied on it。  I really enjoyed the story。Because We Cared by Juliette DuncanI liked that this story was inspirational with the quotes from the Bible about love。  I liked Sasha Jackson who was a sweet, complex character。  It was interesting to learn of her family and her past and how it affected her today。  I enjoyed her passion for conservation and her ethics towards her job。I also liked  rendan who had a cute son named Tom。。 Brendan's wife had died a year after Tom was born and he had closed off his heart to love because he did not want to ever feel that pain again。  I liked how he too was a Christian。Love Renewed  by Lorana HoopesI liked this story so much I could not put the book down until I was done。 It is a perfect sweet and clean romance about second chances when you are older and hopefully much wiser。 The characters all felt like people I knew from a lonely, matchmaking Mrs。 Fields, to  Kaitlyn, who is divorced to Dillon Fields, who is Kaitlyn's old high school boyfriend。 The beautiful setting of a rustic lodge in need of some interior decorating for Christmas is the perfect ruse to get Kaitlyn and Dillon in the same place together。 It is also the perfect setting for soulmates to try not to deny their feelings for each other。 Throw in a little unexpected mystery and I could not put the book down or stop reading the other books in this anthology! 。。。more

I haven’t had a chance to read all the books yet。 The ones I’ve had the chance to read are awesome。 One of my favorites is Because We Cared。 Sasha has come to do an environmental survey of a proposed theme park。 The stories are all Christian based without feeling like you’re being preached at。
